Taking your cat to the vet

TAKING YOUR CAT TO THE VET

A trip to the vet should be as stress-free for your kitty as possible. Cats are very sensitive and even a quick trip to the vet can make them anxious. Some ways to alleviate this stress can start at home with getting your cat used to their carrier.

Choose a good quality soft or hard cat carrier that is large enough for your cat to comfortably lay down and turn around. Leave the opened carrier out for at least a day before coming to the vet. You can put her favorite treats, toys, catnip or Feliway spray in the carrier. This way, she can go in or out of the carrier as she pleases.
Introducing your cat to the carrier in this way can lead to a less stressful experience when going to the vet!
